This comfortable centrally heated bungalow is a former water-works building that was bought as a memorial to Bob Downes, an outstanding young member of the club who tragically died during an attempt on Masherbrum in 1958. It is ideally located for both Grit and Limestone climbing and it is a short and easy walk to Froggatt Edge.

Directions
Situated on the west side of the A625, 1km north of the Chequers Inn. There is a white name sign at the head of the driveway, easily seen when approaching from either direction. If arriving from the North (Sheffield direction) drivers should be aware that a very tight right-turn is required to enter the drive and it is recommended that drivers continue 1km to the Chequers Inn and make a U turn there.
