More commonly referred to as the CIC Hut, the Charles Inglis Clark Memorial Hut is a mountain hut that is nestled on the north face of Ben Nevis. The Scottish Mountaineering Club have ownership and is used by mountaineers and explorers as a base camp to access some of the more challenging routes on Ben Nevis.

Ideally placed for access to routes and scrambles on Ben Nevis, be warned, there is the need to carry everything in: sleeping bag, food, mountaineering equipment, etc, for the duration.

Because it's almost a certainty (and an expectation) that conditions will be wintry, taking an ice axe and crampons [not micro spikes] and having experience of their use in such conditions is essential.

Participants have a range of activity options to choose from, hard and gnarly to winter walking/ scrambling. Or people can choose to participate just for the experience of staying in this iconic mountain refuge.

N.B. Away meets have been paid for in advance, therefore, when booking on, there is the requirement to pay hut fees upfront as a deposit. Should you book off at a later date, unless another MMC member takes your place, you will lose your deposit.
