Unfortunately, this meet has been cancelled for two reasons:
1. The organiser was no longer available to organise it.
2. Only one person had booked on and paid (a few others expressed interest but hadn't committed).
What a shame. This is a great hut in a beautiful, unspoilt part of Wales with Aran Fawddwy and classic climbs on its doorstep.
It'd be great if we can book this hut in the near future to take advantage of this brilliant resource...

Situated at the head of Cwm Cywarch in the Aran Mountains, an area of unspoilt climbing and walking, visitors to Bryn Hafod will not be bored! Climbing in the area is detailed in the Meirionnydd Guide published by The Climbers’ Club.

There's plenty of walking from the doorstep, including paths to the top of Aran Fawddwy and the Ridge Walk. MTB trails and the coast are nearby. Further information can be found on the hut website, and copies of local guides are held at Bryn Hafod.

The hut is ideally situated for Nuttall bagging, Arans, Cadair & Rhinogs, so book on for an unforgettable trip to this wilderness area of Wales.

Additionally, Craig Cywarch, with 70+ ‘trad’ routes ranging from M to E7, including the classic Will-O'-The Wisp,' is very accessible from Bryn Hafod. Over the last few years, numerous routes have been cleaned of vegetation making them easier to find allowing them to be climbed safely. Other significant rock venues that can be reached with a short-ish drive are Cadair Idris and Craig y Merched (southern Rhinogs).

Fully catered, there will probably be cheese-on-toast for Friday’s and Saturday’s supper; cereals/porridge and toast (nothing fried) for Saturday’s and Sunday’s breakfast; sandwiches, crisps, fruit and choccie biccies for packed lunches for Saturday and Sunday; and soup, probably pasta Bolognese, followed by either sponge pudding or fruit pies with custard for Saturday’s tea.

N.B. Away meets have been paid for in advance, therefore, when booking on, there is the requirement to pay hut fees upfront as a deposit. Should you book off at a later date, unless another MMC member takes your place, you will lose your deposit.
