Sarah King realised that, this year, we have been renting Cae'r Frân for 60 years and, so, was excited for the club to celebrate this.

Why not book on this weekend? Shirley Leith is catering for Saturday night.

Or, if you prefer, just join in for the day, Sunday, for a free celebration buffet lunch organised by Pete Smith to raise a glass, snack and toast MMC and all who sail in her?

Several hut officers from throughout the club's history are attending and looking forward to meeting up with old mountaineering pals and to make new friends.

Accommodation: As always our hut is available - sleeps 18.

However there is another bunkhouse, Ty Mawn, run by a charity, up the hill which sleeps another 18 and now confirmed as available to us. TM has an electricity meter which needs £1 and £2 coins. The charity director apologises that the water is not of drinking water quality at the moment so advises bringing bottled water for drinking and brushing teeth. Sleeping is mainly on Alpine bunks with a few normal bunks. TM is accessible from our lane with parking at the very top carpark (4 cars).

Cae'r Frân - Members: £4pppn Guests: £6pppn
Ty Mawn - Minimum cost per night is £20 but once you have 4 people or more it is £5pppn.

N.B. For Sunday buffet, please do not access the hut via the Bwlch-y-groes road as all the normal parking spaces will be taken by those on the full weekend meet. Instead, a parking area has been arranged via the road past the Youth Hostel and there will be sign posted.
